Training day at the House Of Commons

DAY 1- Training

Yesterday’s experience is something I would describe as ‘Surprising’. Probably not the most generic word used to describe working within Westminster Hall but it’s a word I’m sticking with. To be honest, I’ve never really been into Politics (Not even the slightest). But just by working alongside some amazing  people is enough to make you think twice about how you felt about the idea of getting involved in Politics.  You don’t have to be campaigning to be your borough’s next MP or an impulsive mum blogging 24/7 on how the area could be improved, they want to see regular people getting involved by whatever means necessary.  That’s exactly what I did and I don’t regret for one second.

Something as small as helping out your community is not only a good deed, but it’s morally rewarding to think that within years to come you can only help but smile thinking of those changes your made not for yourself but for generations to come.

So I leave you with a quote that helped me when making decisions: ‘Never be afraid to try something new’
