Pixie Lott turns ‘Nasty’

British singer, Pixie Lott has announced that its been a a long and hard fight trying to get legal custody over the release of her upcoming single ‘Nasty’. Sources shown that the track had originally been performed by Christina Aguilera for the 2010 film Burlesque and that the lyrics within the song, samples some work of existing artists. Such as: James Brown sample, a Jimmy Bo Horne sample. But, this doesn’t slow the drive and determination of releasing this song. The singer admitted to recording the song over in  Miami, in order to create that sense of movement within her career.

But why go through all the hassle just for one song?

She told Digital Spy: “I just thought it was amazing because it would be the perfect bridging song between this album and my last album. My label told me that I won’t be able to record o r use any lyrics until the copyright is cleared. Well, patience is a virtue and it certainly paid off!
